Modern Living Room with a Mid-Century Vibe

Our home is not sprawling or spacious. But when we renovated and removed every wall on the main floor, we were able to maximize our space, and create an open atmosphere that gives the illusion of space.

The design for this space started with an area rug. Everything else stemmed from there.

I stuck to Simply White walls (Benjamin Moore), and brought in neutral furniture, accent chairs with longer legs and a glass top table, to keep the space feeling open and airy.

(The plan is to paint the chrome coffee table legs black, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.)
