A friend of mine, upon getting engaged, excitedly told me, “It’s a backyard garden reception… so wear a hat if you have one!” Well that settled it. However, I was leading worship at the ceremony that took place at our church, so I wanted to look a little more dressed up for that part. Enter the Little Black Dress.
In my opinion, the LBD is a wardrobe staple. It can be dressed up or down, and is suitable for all sorts of occasions. I paired it with a killer pair of BCBG heels for the wedding, and slipped into some comfy, metallic sandals for the garden reception.
And of course, I wore my floppy sunhat, as requested!
